What Is The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Invitational?

You know how every sport has an All-Star event? I guess you could say that Reebok CrossFit Invitational is just that for ours. The fittest athletes from the US, Europe, Canada and the Pacific all come together after the Games to compete on the world stage representing their regions. Teams are made up of two top males and two top females.

The event itself consists of several grueling events. Here’s what the coed teams had to face this year at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Invitational.

Invitational Events

Event 1
All 4 Teammates

21-15-9 reps of:

  • 854-lb. deadlifts
  • Bar-facing burpees

In the scope of this event, all 4 teammates will deadlift a long bar loaded with 854 pounds as a unit, then all burpees will have to be synchronized to be counted.

Event 2
2 Female Teammates

  • 1-rep-max snatch
  • 1-rep-max clean and jerk

Athletes will only have 2 attempts for each lift. 1 teammate will snatch while the other teammate completes the clean and jerk. The team’s score will be based on the sum of the max snatch plus the max clean and jerk.

This is a relay-style handstand-walk. Each athlete will be walking the length of the floor.

Each team-member alternates flipping their own pigs.

Event 5
