Refraining from buying candy at all will be the best way to keep from eating it. We know how tempting it can be when you just keep staring at all the chocolate! Instead of handing out candy this year choose natural fruit strips, boxes of raisins, or some other type of healthy snack option. That way, you’ll be saving yourself and kids that come by for trick-or-treating!

If you don’t want to deprive the kids coming for a treat, buy just enough to give out and be heavy on the handing out. Make sure you give the entire bowl of treats out so that you won’t have any left over. This is important. You might have willpower the night of Halloween, but, chances are, that willpower goes out the window after a day or two of seeing the candy bowl!

You’ll be sure to ward off the sugar craving that can hit mid to late afternoon!

If your kids have gone trick-or-treating and you can’t keep it out of the house, be sure to keep it in a safe place that you won’t see at all times. Also, if worst comes to worst, let them have their fill and throw the rest out. It might be wasteful and sad at first, but it’ll be better than keeping it around.
