- Elbow planks are an amazing way to get your abs in order before a beach trip. Start in the push up position. Then, place your elbows on the ground. Make sure your hands are also on the ground in a fist. Look forward and keep your head up. This will help you keep the right posture. Tuck your abs and breathe normally while you hold this position for 30 to 60 seconds. Do this four or five times.
- Mountain climbers are difficult but a great way to jump start your abs and get in shape. Start with a push up and then bring your knee up to the opposite elbow. For example, take your left knee and bring it up to your right elbow. Make sure to leave the other foot on the ground and keep a proper form. Look forward and keep your head in alignment with the rest of your body. Crunch your abs and alternate movements quickly as if you are running uphill. Do this for 50-60 seconds.
