Planning a Paleo Thanksgiving might seem difficult or overwhelming. However, there are many delicious recipes and side dishes that you can prepare to accompany your turkey without feeling deprived or worried about disappointing guests. If you need help getting back in shape from holiday eating then our Raleigh fitness coach can help you. Drop by CrossFit Invoke today.
- Of course, turkey is typically the main protein in any Thanksgiving meal. Since turkey alone is Paleo, be sure to brine and season with natural ingredients like sea salt, black pepper, fresh garlic, ginger, homemade Cajun seasoning or other clean spices.
- To go along with the turkey, use the leftover broth that can be found in the roasting pan after the turkey is cooked to make gravy. You can add hard-boiled eggs, full fat coconut milk, arrowroot powder, salt, and pepper to taste as well as other spices to make a delicious gravy.
- Roasted brussels sprouts with bacon fat and garlic will be a tasty addition to the side dishes you’ll be preparing this Thanksgiving. You might also try roasting brussels sprouts with caramelized onions as well.
