The Hardest CrossFit Leg WODs on the Planet

Leg Day

We’re starting off with the Leg Day WOD because its entire focus is on leg exercises only. Leg Day is to be completed as fast as possible and without stopping (if you can). You should do three rounds of walking lunges for 100 feet, then 50 body-weight squats, and finish with 25 back extensions.

400 Meter Walking Lunge

You’re probably thinking this one might be easy, but you’re so very wrong. Walking lunges for 400 meters will leave you sore for days. You’ll feel it in your quads, hammys, and glutes. This one is best done outdoors so you have plenty of space without having to stop and turn around. Expect this WOD to take between 10 to 15 minutes, and you’re looking at 350 to 400 total steps if you’re counting.

Fran

The almighty Fran makes our list as well. This is one of the most common WODs on the planet, it is also a benchmark for testing overall fitness levels, leg strength, power and stamina. Fran combines two sets of exercises that are to be performed as fast as possible.

Round 1:

      21 repetitions on thrusters

    21 pullups

Round 2:

      15 repetitions on thrusters

      15 pullups

      9 repetitions of thrusters

    9 pullups

Jerry

This Hero WOD is named after Sgt. Maj. Jerry Dwayne Patton who died on Oct. 15, 2008. This WOD will test your lower body endurance and stamina and is to be performed as fast as possible.

      Run 1 mile

      Row 2,000 meters

    Run 1 mile

The best and most competitive CrossFit enthusiasts can complete the Jerry in less than 20 minutes. The key is to keep a good pace for your body. What’s your best Jerry time? Let us know in the comments below.
