More Ways to Have an Intense Workout
When it comes to maxing out your reps, go as fast as you can. Try to speed up finishing out each set with max effort. Think of it as a sprint to the finish line.
No, we’re not contradicting ourselves here even though we just told you to go fast. Slowing down your reps will increase the negative resistance. This will make you stronger. So every so often, slow your rep pace down and use gravity as your workout partner.
Pick a Day
Every day that you train can not be focused on smashing. You will have to pace yourself. Setting a scheduled day each week to focus on intensity will help you build up your strength and stamina to add even more hard training days to your calendar.
Add More Weight and Reps
In previous posts, we’ve talked about adding more sets and pushing yourself. This one fits right in. A great way to intensify your workout is by adding more weight and more reps to each set. We’re not expecting you to max out each rep, but adding more weight will help you get stronger and allows you to do lighter weighted reps quicker.
