Are you expecting too much, too soon? Sometimes, it takes a little patience to get results. You can’t get in the best shape of your life overnight. It takes a while. Be sure to give yourself time to strengthen your body and muscles.
Is your technique suffering? It’s possible that you aren’t doing yourself any favors with your current technique. It’s important to make sure you have nice form and position when working out. Sometimes working with a trainer can help. Even when you think you don’t need it, technique is a big part of why you are not seeing strength gain.
Are you focusing on one part of your body only? If you hit the gym and always focus on your chest, you won’t see any strength gains in your arms or legs. Same with your core. It takes a well-rounded workout routine each week to make sure you are strengthening your entire body instead of just one specific area.
Is your workout mostly for fun? We know it’s important to enjoy your time at the box but if you aren’t doing things that test your limits and gets your strength training going, you won’t see a change in your body. Try to balance fun and work by doing circuits that help you gain strength while enjoying what you’re doing. It might take time to find the balance but it’ll be worth it in the end.
