An awesome way to make an easy Paleo treat is to make frozen banana bites. Dipped in compliant chocolate, these bananas are delicious and will be a great alternative to traditional Valentine’s Day candy. To start, cut bananas into 1/2 inch slices. To make 14 bites, use two bananas. You will also need 5 ounces of compliant chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of unsweetened shredded coconut. If you aren’t a fan of coconut, you can leave that part out of this recipe.
Once you’ve cut the bananas into slices, place them onto a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then, melt the chocolate chips over low heat. Once it’s melted, dip each banana slice into the chocolate. Place them onto the parchment paper lined pan and sprinkle them with unsweetened coconut. Freeze the banana slices for one hour.
If you have a heart shaped cookie cutter that’s small enough consider cutting the sliced bananas into hearts before dipping them into the chocolate. This is a nice added touch for your Valentine’s Day celebration this year.
Head over to our next post to find a recipe for compliant sugar cookies. These won’t be as easy as frozen chocolate bananas but they’ll be worth the extra effort!
