Most of us tend to overdo it when it comes to Thanksgiving meals. We end up eating more than our share of turkey and dressing, delicious roasted veggies, and dessert. Here you’ll find several post Thanksgiving workouts that can get you back in shape and ready to resume your normal workouts after the holiday. Searching for free fitness classes in Raleigh NC this holiday season? Drop in to CrossFit Invoke today.
- Push-ups are a great post Thanksgiving workout. Try a variety of different types of push-ups including sets on your knees, on your toes, and other variations that can be a little more difficult.
- Lunges are an awesome way to get your legs back in shape as well as get in some low cardio. Do forward alternating lunges while holding a medicine ball or weights.
- Wall sits are another great exercise that you can do to help your core. Rest your back on the wall and squat as if you were sitting in a chair. Keep your feet two feet away from the wall. Make sure your hips and knees are at a 90° angle. Rest your shoulders against the wall and hold the position for at least a minute, rest for 30 seconds and then hold it again for one minute.
- Work your triceps by doing chair dips. These are a great way to work out at home while you are still in the swing of things for the holiday.
It’s understandable that you may not want to go to the gym during the holiday season. Time spent away from family to work out seems less important. However, there are several ways to get a good workout in at home. Try these for a great post Thanksgiving workout!
