You’ll have to be mentally strong to pull this off but also leave yourself a few cheat days. After all, it is the holidays and you should be able to have a few of your favorite treats. Just do not go overboard and keep it all under control. Eat lots of veggies and small portions.

Drop-In to Your Local Box – We cannot stress this next tip enough. The more boxes you visit the more you will be able to learn. Taking in different facilities will allow you to not only see how other CrossFit affiliates operate, but you’ll also be able to meet some great new people as well. The CrossFit community is one big ole family. So if you’re out of town and need to make some new friends, just make an effort to drop-in to a box near year and check out some new digs.

Get Your WODs in While You Travel – Just because you’re out traveling to be with friends and family doesn’t mean that you can skip out on getting your workouts in. It does not matter if you have a local box to drop into or not because there are several exercises that you can do at grandma’s house, a friend’s condo, or a hotel. Push ups, sit ups and crunches, and running are just a few exercises that you can do pretty much anywhere. Also, get creative with your traveling workouts. For instance, if you need a pull-up bar just go outside and find a tree limb.
