You know tire flips all too well. Instead of using a tire this winter, why not make a giant snowball? Rolling a snowball can be just as rigorous as tire flipping. In fact, if you keep rolling a snowball it’ll get to a point where it can’t be pushed.
Sledding can be as much of a cardio workout as running stairs. Though this might be difficult to believe, the workout comes from walking up the snow covered hill after you’ve had fun on the way down. A snow-covered hill has less of an impact on your knees than concrete stairs do so you’re at more of an advantage.
Try chopping wood for a glorious winter fire instead of kettlebells. Chopping wood provides the same benefits as kettlebells and it’s great for the legs and shoulders.
Shoveling snow is a great workout as well. One hour of snow shoveling can burn close to 600 cal. It builds strength and can be similar to virtual shoveling, which is popular in the CrossFit world.
Try these awesome activities this winter to change up your routine while still getting a great workout!
