Burpee Pull-Ups

What a combination, right? This one is at the top of our list because it combines two of the most used exercises in CrossFit. It’s also a pretty safe movement for high school athletes to do without too much risk of injury involved. The Burpee portion helps increase power and strength in the arms and legs, along with improving stamina. The pull-up part helps with overall upper body and grip strength. It helps to do this combo exercise when you have a high enough overhead pull-up bar that requires a good jump to grasp it.

Hill Sprints

Most high school athletes are already accustomed to the dreaded hill sprints. Especially runners and football players. Running hills is one of the best CrossFit exercises to build up endurance and stamina. It’s often overlooked, however it’s extremely effective. Hill sprints require no extra equipment and can also be performed anywhere you find a hill, ramp, steps, or other inclines.

Box Jumps

This is another great high school and beginner exercise that really requires no extra expensive equipment. Box jumps, and other double-leg movements are highly used in CrossFit. These will help improve strength, balance, stamina, and more.
