We are pleased to announce the addition of Caroline to the CrossFit Invoke Kids’ fitness program. Here’s what Caroline has to say.
“I am so excited to be coaching the kids classes at Invoke! For those of you that don’t know, I taught in Wake County for four years. I taught upper grades (4th and 5th), but have experience with younger kids as well through my major in college (Child Development), tutoring, and babysitting. My teaching experience gives me a lot of background managing and teaching kids and communicating with parents. I’ve also been doing CrossFit at Invoke for two and a half years. CrossFit has allowed me to reach goals I never would have thought I’d be strong enough to reach. It’s a great outlet and has given me a lot of confidence, as well as a new friend group! I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce all of that to kids through the kids class. In class we always do a warm-up, work on a skill (last week we did box jumps and the week before that we did strict press!), do a WOD that has the skill embedded, and play a fun game. We are still having classes Tuesdays at 5:15 and Saturdays at 9:30. That being said, we are open to feedback as to what works for you all and your kids, especially as we move back into the school year. Looking forward to working with your kids and growing our kids’ program! Don’t forget, there’s a reservation for the class that closes an hour prior.”
