How You Can Get Better at Clean and Jerk

Use the following tips to get better at your clean and jerk movements. Use this list as a guide:

Your Technique – Practice It Over and Over

The benefits of practicing your technique will allow you to feel more comfortable with the motions regardless of whether you’re competing, or just training at the box. Practicing your technique will also help you improve your range of motion while going through the movements. Furthermore, this will build up muscle memory and good workout habits. Having a good technique will also help you increase your reps.

Push Yourself, But Don’t Over Do It

Don’t be scared to push yourself. However, that being said … don’t push yourself so much that you get injured. This can leave you sidelined for months. Also, don’t waste all of your energy on failed reps. This will burn you out and you’ll lose concentration on the good reps. When you fail a rep, take a moment to rest and think about what went wrong before you try again.
