Once you’ve gotten into the swing of things with three days a week, you might try adding a fourth day. Most diehard CrossFitters work out five times each week. However, sticking with the three times a week schedule should be your goal for at least 3 to 6 months. Then, you can consider adding more times per week in the box to your schedule. A great rule of thumb is to fit at least four workouts in per week.

We know how easy it is to get excited about a new routine. You may be ready to jump right in and do six days at the gym each week. However, it’s important to be realistic and make sure you’re able to keep up with your training. It’s also important to make sure you don’t burn yourself out. Stick with the three days a week workouts for at least three months. Then work yourself up to four or five days per week.

It’s also essential to make sure you’re listening to your body and your Raleigh fitness coach. If you’re too tired and sore from excessive training, it’s important to know that you may be doing too much all at once. You might also not be getting enough sleep or rest. There are ways to rejuvenate between workouts. As we mentioned, it’s important to take a day off in between each workout when you are first starting out. After 4 to 6 months, you can then start working out two days in a row and taking one off. Eventually, you’ll be able to work yourself up to three days per week with one day off in between.

Remember, take things slow in the beginning. We know how exciting it can be to enter the world of CrossFit. However, taking care of yourself and listening to your body is key.
